The Light of Freedom
by Cordi Howell aka Cordite Cupcake
There are many of us in this country that feel as if we are alone and that nobody else out there is going through what we are. We’ve spent years upon years working on ourselves, healing, changing, growing, waking up and becoming more aware of how this game we call ‘life’ is played.
Having gained so much knowledge and come so far from where we started, having rubbed the sleep from our eyes, we find ourselves at a point where we just don’t want to ‘play along’ anymore. For those of us who have awakened, we view the world around us as superficial, cruel and fake. We watch people that we love and care about self-destruct and succumb to the mind thought that we must sacrifice some of our liberties in order to be safe and free. Many times, we often find that our ‘help’ isn’t wanted and that the sleepers don’t want to be the possessor of truth, they don’t want to wake up. With knowledge comes responsibility, and many have become lazy and irresponsible. They would rather the ‘elite’ ruling class have control over their lives. It’s frustrating that we cannot force others to accept our enlightenment and the wisdom that we’ve gained through our own survival of destructive events and/or people, through our own awakening to truth. We cannot force others to accept our views of life, peace, war, self- accountability or freedom.
We become resigned to the fact that we are not ‘normal’ as defined by society. We are not like the majority of this nation’s population.
What do we do? Many decide that they are tired of beating a dead horse and don’t venture out into the sleeper masses. They stay in a safe place and surround themselves with other awakened souls, those with which they share the same knowledge and love of truth, freedom and liberty. This is the equivalent of turning on a light in a sun filled room. There is no noticeable change.
We are referred to by the sleepers as ‘lost souls’, because we have no use or interest in what society deems ‘important’ and politically correct. We are often looked at as if we are insane; we are mocked, ridiculed and then cast aside.
We are NOT lost souls. Lost souls don’t know who they are or what their purpose here is. We are those souls that DO know exactly who and what we are and have a clear idea of what we are supposed to do. Most often we have some sort of a spiritual calling and do not associate ourselves with government owned religion. We are warriors, we have no desire to create chaos and war, but we are warriors on a mission. We pray for guidance that we will be able to complete the mission successfully and in a peaceful manner, but if we are summoned to do battle, we are quite skilled and able to do so. Sometimes we feel defeated and as if we are banging our heads against a large brick wall. Sometimes we just decide that no one is taking us seriously, no one is paying attention, no one cares.
No one that I know had the happy little childhood that we see on television or read about in books. In these times, we’ve all had it pretty damn rough. A lot of people allow what happened in their childhood to control the rest of their lives. They allow rage, fear and pain to control them, they never move forward. They have become shallow and materialistic, surrounding themselves with earthly possessions while throwing away their God given rights to Freedom, Truth and Liberty.
They feel secure in always being afraid of something.
They are afraid of losing their designer clothes, cars and not being what society and the ruling elite label as “Good Americans”, yet deep down inside they are angry, but they are afraid or too lazy to seek out the source of that anger. There is a difference between rage and anger. Rage is a destroyer, anger can be a passionate motivator. Anger can create the energy that is needed to seek truth, to fight for freedom and to embrace liberty. But when one expresses their anger, society labels it as rage and they are rushed off to a medical professional and given synthetic medications to put their anger to sleep. The person becomes a zombie basically, and no longer feels their anger; no longer senses that something is wrong or they come to the drug induced conclusion that there is nothing that they can do to change anything. When this happens, the army of darkness has struck a blow at those who are fighting for freedom and truth. You may say that I’m incorrect in that statement, because the now zombie-fied person is not “actively” fighting for the dark side, but that is not so. The person has now actively become inactive in the fight for Freedom.
Freedom and truth are akin to a light that radiates from a candles flame on a dark winters night. Those who love truth and freedom are the houses that harbor those candles. From within “the house”, the light from that flame is noticed by those who are outside wandering; beckoning to those that are passing by and empty inside, they have not taken personal responsibility upon themselves to light their freedom candle. Freedom, Truth and Liberty are waiting for us all, we just have to pull ourselves up and take responsibility for striking that first match that will ignite the flame on our Freedom Candle. We have to be willing to cast fear back to the shadows. We have to have faith. We have to be willing to accept the message and to stand up, to fight for freedom. There is no sacrifice in the fight and quest for freedom, there is only the power of conviction. When it comes to freedom, there can be no compromise. When one compromises in the name of Freedom and Liberty, one becomes a slave and is no longer free.
Those who have found their inner peace, those who are awake and love freedom have a pretty tough path and mission ahead of them. It is extremely difficult to hold onto these things while we’re being screamed at by someone who is deeply in touch with and consumed by rage, hate and fear, especially when it is someone that we love. Yet, that is what we need to do. I’m not suggesting that we be anyone’s punching bag, by all means we have the right to defend ourselves and those that we love and care about.
But we must pick our battles carefully and not allow the small stuff, the insignificant personality conflicts to get in the way of our goal, or to divide us as a people.
I know personally how hard it is to keep moving forward and it becomes very exhausting to be a Freedom loving soul in a country full of sleepers. Yet, it is the mission that we signed up for. We need to pay attention to that voice of Spirit that reminds us that we must move forward and share our message of Freedom. There have been and will continue to be those times when we’ll wrestle with that voice and tell it “NO, I just want to be left alone in my safe place!!!” But it is within those moments that we must go forward and reach out to those who are asleep. It is in those moments when we must share the truth and spread our love of Freedom.
Yes, we are different from what society has deemed the ‘norm’ and we are proud of it.
There are those who look at us as tin foil wearing dark entities, because we usually show up in places that are quite gloomy; places that are over run with evil and chaos. What these people fail to understand is that we tread into the darkness with the main purpose of ‘lighting it up’. There are many different levels of darkness and the brighter our light is, the deeper we delve into the dark. It can be quite terrifying, but only those carrying the torch of Liberty, Freedom and Truth can walk through the darkness and still be strong.
We must step into the darkness or our light will never be seen. We don’t have the time for ego attachments; we have no need for glory or fame. That is not why we are here. I know that we would all be happier to stay in our own little safe havens; to sing, dance, write and play around those that we care about, those that accept us and love us for whom we are…but that is not all that we are here for.
We are here to awaken those souls that are afraid, asleep and enslaved, for they are the lost souls. We must shine our light into the darkness so that they will see it and come closer.
They don’t know that inner peace through Freedom and truth is something that they can attain. That is a part of our mission, to show them that someone does care enough to enlighten them, to wake them from their slumber of slavery. We must show them that they will not be alone in the fight and that through faith and hope, through love and a relationship with Divinity, all things are possible.
We must show them that when we beings of light all stand together, there is no dark force that can defeat us. It is through those things that we achieve inner peace. It is through those things that we enable our souls to advance to a higher level. It is through those things that we attain Freedom.
Remember that lighthouses are not built in safe, sunny places. They are built on the edge of the shore where the storms are.
We are lighthouses of freedom and truth, shining our light out into the storm of humanity.
Remember what you were trained to do. Remember to keep your light burning.
Remember that you deserve to be Free.
